begin

and finds a pearl
she's a clever girl

you slept with
a dark one
in between blades
of green grass
you swapped spit
and sweat
and yet
you crawl
whimpering
between my linens
smelling of dark meat and
nappy coconut
hair
thinking I will perform as she
think ye
again!

"Explanations"
walking papers
get legs and
talk from
pulpits and talk shows
where nobody knows.
they expound expertise
about nothing.
cabbage soup
explains it all.

"Defining Moments"
treasures of
unwashed laundry
dried tree limbs
closet skeletons
laceless sneakers
keyless locks
moth eaten frocks
unthought of compliments
divorced
wedding rings
are the things
that define her.
coffers of
unpolished silver
spin the bottle bottles
cracked hubcaps
broken mirrors.
these are her legacies.
unkissed kisses
near misses
unridden merry go rounds
unspoken kitchen table sounds
chipped nail polish
braided hang nails and
gratitude abolished
these are the regrets she brings

woman is the working
of unconscious man
even God
put man to sleep
and bar-b-qued her
from his rib?

"My Tree"
his tree
is a poem
by he
with leaves that
will not rhyme
and stanzas that will not turn
with the seasons.
because of his unmatched reasons
bushes and shrubs
mean nothing to he
he only poems
with trees

"A Dime A Dozen"
in his brilliance
he decided
women's eyes were
a dime a dozen
he sold them at unheard of prices,
two for one sales,
basement bargains.
men lined up around the block
with bushel baskets
of baby blues
to be sorted as
gentile's or jew's.
one man came with
eyes transgendered
his basket rendered
the highest price:
one eye pad and
two bags of ice;
which he scurried home
to his one eyed, he-she wife

as children
turn her pages
and husbands
spend their wages
and her clothes
walk down the street
in someone else's
high heeled feet
leaving her naked
with herself
missing and presumed dead

"Hijacked"
a woman
must be touched
and kissed
or man's blood
will spew
like lava into
the canyon
and linger like
oil spills
from hijacked tankers

"Unfiltered"
she danced
unfiltered
void of preconceptions
ignoring promptings
and she was made rich
the toast of gay pareeee
she moved without thinking
but men never forgot their thoughts

"Dada Kitchen"
she bakes
from her dada
kitchen
smiling
at empty pots
that catch fire
while boiling air.
the empty cookie pan
is lined with mozart
music sheets
as roaches lick
the spatula
coated with
body lubricants
to avoid sticky
substances that
invade the
kitchen night air
she takes a moment
and swings from the
chandelier
singing dada for
her sugar daddy
dead in the upstairs
bedroom

pales
in comparison to
one never touched,
old spinstered
and forlorn;
for the tales
she weaves
will unnerve
and deceive
every mother's grandson
ever born

sacrilege
is only sacred
when the sacred
is spared sacrifice.
the ultimate order
of the alter
is woman

"Circle Spinners"
she spins
in circles
naked
she is not woman
she is anti-man
an artistic mutation
of lipstick
and surgical glands.
the proud invisible
stitches prove
neither is she man

"Photo Montage"
the photo montage
collage
danced from the page
she was a ready made,
an assemblage
of rapes mutilations
that gendersized her
as politically
neutral

"Disgust"
it used to be
war that
disgusted her
now it's the disgrace
of the spoils
of love

"The Sky Fell"
tremendous
pieces of the sky fell
splatting her
leaving ultra destruction
she couldn't duck.
she recognized the smell.
it was hell
again
raising
the phoenix
spreading its stench of love.

"Andalusian"
Andalusian dogs wear two legs
hunt and tarry
where cats carry
secret lips
and follicle chips
of beam me up scotties
and terrier terrors
soothed with droopy
eared eyelids
and aphrodisiac squids
that lure in medusa
like ways spinning
yarns of love lore
that adore only the
one spinning the web.

"Doggishnish"
the dog inside her
wags its tail
unconditionally
at the fish bones thrown
her way
she searches rotten
tomatoes for seeds
to renew and self start
her heart
